Event Planning
Alongside vintage home goods House of Gaud Vintage, Chloe created and co-hosted three sucessful outdoor vintage & hand-made pop-up markets in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Inspired by all the independent small businesses in the warehouse where our studios are located, we created this market for the local community. Our goal was to highlight creative opportunities for small businesses and artists in the Milwaukee area.
Gaudy Streets is a combination of our two businesses, House of Gaud and Stories of the Streets.
30 local vendors.
Craft Beer.
Local Eats.
Live DJ.

Promotional Strategy
-
The markets were promoted primarily on Instagram and Facebook. Two weeks leading up to the event, we began vendor profiles. These small business spotlights helped garner excitement for the market and provided potential customers with better insight into what would be offered. Each small business profile was a meaningful touchpoint to keep the event at the top of the community's mind.
To further advertise the market, we also postered the event flyer across the city. Targeting local coffee shops in different neighborhoods, small businesses, and high-traffic city streets.
-
We implemented a paid promotion campaign on Meta to local audiences to reach a broader scope of Milwaukee residents. We drove users to our Eventbrite page where they could RSVP, receive additional details about the event, and receive reminders.
-
To further local reach, we submitted the event to local media publications, including Milwaukee Magazine, where we secured a feature in its 14 Things to Do in Milwaukee This Weekend article.
-
To encourage further promotion of the market from our online audience, we partnered with the three participating breweries/distilleries for a giveaway.
By sharing the event graphic to their social media stories, participants were entered to win one of three $25 bar tabs from the independent breweries local to the warehouse that they could redeem during the market.
